July 2011, while controlling the inventory, a carefully wrapped box was opened to reveal the remains of printed double-face wools and silks I used in one of my favorite collections, "Latitude", Fall 1997. After so many seasons, theses textiles sill had the power to titillate my imagination. I rushed to show them to Rosita Onofri - my accomplice in cutting - and her reaction was so enthusiastic that we immediatly started working on the project. We decide to use them for the newest cuts of the 2011 Fall collection. In times when "luxury" is nothing more than a marketing trick, we were delighted to offer a very limited edition, with a certificate of number of existing pieces, sold exclusively in my shop in Milan. When fashion week came, I showed the samples to Sonya Park – inventor of Arts & Science in Tokyo – and while I explained the project, I noticed her smiling eyes..." The Time machine Collection!".In a minute, she had found the perfect name! Thank you Sonya. So I guess it is now time for me to go back to dig into the inventory. Maybe I'll find other forgotten special things down there!
